| Residential programs begin with a thorough assessment and evaluation process that continues throughout the first week of a patient's stay. Treatment consists of many structured activities designed to help a patient heal. These include peer interaction, individual counseling, group therapy, and based on individual needs, may involve specialty groups such as relapse prevention, anger, eating issues, cognitive behavioral therapy, women's issues, men's issues, gender issues, assertiveness, Twelve Step group study, family issues and similar special topics.
Daily lectures by clinical staff and alumni educate clients on a broad range of topics including psychological, medical, social, spiritual and Twelve Step work are part of the educational process. Within all the residential adult programs participants follow similar schedules that will include:
