Sue ThomasThomas is Hazelden's Bullying Prevention Specialist and Business Development Director in the publishing arm of the organization. Hazelden is one of the world's leading publishers of evidence-based prevention programs and sells a wide range of educational materials to address alcohol and other drug prevention, violence prevention, and mental health in schools and community organizations. Thomas has been developing high-quality educational products on issues important to children and teens, such as bullying and substance abuse, for 18 years. She was the lead editor on the development of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, which is world-renown with over 35 years of research showing reductions in bullying behavior by over 50%. Thomas has a Masters degree in Education, focusing on curriculum development and instructional design. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of education, with 15 of those years focused on product development, including curricula, videos, training manuals and multimedia programs.
