General guidelines for permission:
- We cannot grant anyone permission to reproduce the majority of a publication.
- Consideration is weighed given the size of the excerpt within the totality of the requestor’s work.
- We generally approve requests for the right to reproduce a single daily reading (from a meditation book) if it is to be given away or used in a non-profit newsletter.
- We generally approve requests for the right to reproduce a short excerpt from a work (a couple of paragraphs or less or a single daily reading from a meditation book) if it is used in a free publication and full attribution is given
- Excerpts to be used in works that are not free may be subject to a fee.
