Dan Anderson Renewal Center Weekend Retreat

Active Duty, National Guard, and Veterans Are Welcome


1:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 14 to noon Thursday, November 16

Immerse yourself in the Twelve Steps, come into emotional balance, and recommit to your recovery at this three-day, two-night retreat on the beautiful campus of Hazelden in Center City, Minnesota. Experience presentations by Hazelden staff and recovering veterans on topics such as resilience, military skills that support recovery, those that get in the way, and emotional sobriety. Enjoy fellowship with others on the journey in the restorative setting of the Dan Anderson Renewal Center.

About Your Presenters

Don Eldred
 

Donald Elverd, PsyD, LP, has been a senior staff psychologist with Hazelden for 23 years. He was a sergeant with the Twenty-Fifth Infantry Division in Vietnam. He spent two years in army hospitals for wounds and has practiced a program of recovery for the last 42 years.

James Wes McCleave

James Wes McCleave has over 11 years of sobriety. He has been in the military for nine years including a deployment where he led combat missions in Iraq. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Mobile, Alabama, and has attended numerous military schools. He currently serves as State's Equal Opportunity Specialist for the Minnesota National Guard (MMNG). He is involved in several diversity initiatives and leads the Disability Council for the MNNG.


Other presenters include other Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation staff.
