HISTORY OF DEVELOPMENT: This database presents European films and videos produced in 15 European Union countries. Films belong to the following categories: general prevention, health education, drug harm reduction, training / information for professionals, national campaigns and policies, presentation of prevention programmes, and community based programmes. All records are abstracted and indexed. No subscription - free of charge. CD-ROM version available upon request to the CECD. Search languages in French, English, German, and Spanish. Language content of records: English, French, German, and Spanish. EDDRA
NAME: Exchange of Drug Demand Reduction Action

DESCRIPTION AND NOTES : The Exchange on Drug Demand Reduction Action (EDDRA) information system is an Internet-based database providing details of a wide range of demand reduction programs in the EU. Focusing on hands-on experience and good practice in the field, the system caters to the needs of drug practitioners. policy makers and decision-makers involved in planning and implementing demand-reduction interventions. Please be aware that access to the new version of the EDDRA information system cannot be guaranteed as a normal http request currently, and visitors might need to contact their network security managers to open port 8008. The EMCDDA apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

The database contains information on a broad range of drug demand reduction interventions in the European Union Member States including prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and criminal justice programs. Each record presents detailed information on each program, including contact information. The database will be updated regularly with the support of a national network of correspondents in each country. The service is free of charge without subscription (limited access for invited users). Registration for European national managers and administrators only. Search languages are all 11 official languages of the EU. Language content of records is English plus the national language of the respective program's country.

ELISAD GATEWAY
ELISAD European Information Service on Alcohol, Drugs, and Addictions  http://www.addictionsinfo.eu/ 
DESCRIPTION: This addictions gateway is a free online service providing access to the best web resources in Europe on drugs, alcohol, smoking, gambling and related topics. All the resources have been evaluated and a description of each website is given.
You can search it using free text or by browsing the subject categories. This project is undertaken by 29 partner organisations from 23 countries within the Elisad network. The work is distributed among participants and includes the identification and cataloguing of AOD web resources, the development of the database and taxonomy.

EUROPEAN LEGAL DATABASE ON DRUGS (ELDD)
The European Legal Database on Drugs (ELDD) is the EMCDDA's online database of information on European drugs-related legislation for the 25 Member States and Norway. Information for the candidate countries is being added as it becomes available. The database contains legal texts in their original formats, country profiles, national focal points (laws and regulations), legal reports, topic overviews (summary tables that give a quick overview of the legal position of EU countries with regard to illicit drugs, and news.

DESCRIPTION AND NOTES : The database is the result of a project coordinated by the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction in cooperation with the REITOX network and other European Documentation Centres working in the field of information on drugs. It is able to search simultaneously on a selection extracted from the EMCDDA database and from the following European national databases: ISDD (United Kingdom), TOXIBASE (France), IPDT (Portugal), TRIMBOS (The Netherlands), CAN (Sweden), and RUSDIR (Norwegian). REITOX VIRTUAL LIBRARY is the first database in Europe to give access to bibliographic information from a range of specialized national documentation centers in a comparable and standardized format. It contains over 1200 records presently and will be updated and developed in the near future. It targets the EMCDDA technical and scientific reports as well as the most important national documents on epidemiology and national policies. Free of charge, no subscription. Search language is English. Language content of the records is English plus the national language of each country (French, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, and Norwegian presently).
