Taxing information

Hazelden is required to charge tax for the following (AR, CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MI, MN, NC, ND, NE, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SD, TN, VA, VT, WA, WV, WY, Texas for nonprint items only and Canada.)

Transit times for Express methods are based on the shipment date, not the order date. Freight refunds for service level failures will be provided only if a freight carrier's delivery policy is not honored.

Orders that contain videos or software will qualify for lower freight cost for that item (one video $6.95, more than one video $4.50 each).

How long does it take for delivery to U.S. destinations?

For U.S. destinations ground shipping allow: East states 2-3 business days, Central states 3-5 business days, West states 5-7 business days. Orders are shipped from the state of Virginia.

Canadian Orders (shipped to Canada)

Canada ground orders are consolidated and shipped each Thursday to save shipping and customs clearance fees. Delivery times are two to three weeks after an order is placed.

Canada GST will be included on your invoice.

On Express shipping to Canada, other country-imposed charges may apply. In these cases the carrier will collect these fees from you at the time of delivery.

International Orders

(shipped outside the United States, APO, FPO)

International Freight Methods available:

• International UPS - Maximum order value $2500
• International USPS Priority Mail - Maximum order value $200
• International First Class Mail - Maximum order value $25

Freight charges for most countries will be figured before you place your order. If they are not or you have a large order, you will need to call 651-213-4200 for a freight quote. Your order will be shipped the best method possible for cost and speed according to your method chosen. 

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. International shipments are subject to opening and inspection by custom authorities. As the importer you must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

We may provide certain order, shipment and product information with our international carriers. This information may have to be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and to comply with local laws.

By finalizing your order you agree to the following terms:

• Your online total is for products and freight costs.
• The freight cost will be calculated at the time the order is placed for the majority of countries.
• Only duties and taxes will be additional and will be collected by the carrier if required by your country.
• We have the right to send a second invoice detailing any additional charges for shipping and handling.

How long does it take for delivery to International destinations?

International orders shipped by UPS will arrive in 3 to 10 days depending on the country and area shipped to within the country. International orders shipped by surface ocean freight will arrive in 2 to 8 weeks depending on the final destination. The charge for surface or airmail service is based on the weight of the package and the final destination.  Orders shipped by surface methods can take up to 6 weeks to trace.

We reserve the right to refuse shipment of orders by certain freight carriers based on the value of the order, final destination and ease of tracking.

Does Hazelden have distributors outside of the United States?

Hazelden has one distributor. Your shipping costs and currency exchange rates can be significantly lower if you are purchasing from or are shipping outside of the United States. 

When ordering and shipping outside the United States or Canada, you no longer have to go through the extra step of converting currency to U.S. dollars. Eurospan provides multi-currency ordering. For more information on areas of coverage or details click here.

Returns

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, just return it within 90 days from the date of purchase, and we will offer you an exchange, refund your money, or credit your account for the product purchase price. Note: Freight charges are not credited on returns. Products returned must be in new resalable condition. Please include a copy of your invoice or your packing slip with the returned items. Products purchased as sets must be returned as a full set for credit to be given. To help us serve you better, please write a brief note on the back of the invoice to explain why your are returning the materials. Also, please indicate whether you would prefer an exchange, an account credit, or a refund. Please ship your returns insured via any traceable delivery service to the address below. Delivery shortages or damage must be reported within 30 days of receipt. Special order products are not returnable and some products such as software are not returnable once opened.
