Women's issues are very profound and, as a male, I found my participation at the Women Healing workshops to be very enriching. The information about cultrual implications for women was especially thought-provoking.

Women Healing allowed me to look sensitively at the needs of women and to understand how important it is to listen.

As a counselor working with women in recovery, I found this conference interesting, informative and healing. I will take with me the things I learned to the population and attempt to assist women in healing through recovery.

"the first thing ... on my calendar"

The conference is the first thing to go on my calendar each year! I am grateful for all aspects of it: the education, the inspiration, the support, the truly feminine structure, etc., etc., etc.!

Dear Hazelden,

I was in a counselor's waiting room and she asked if anyone wanted one of the flyers for a Women Healing seminar. I politely took one home but didn't read it for days. When I did, I thought, it was too much money for me to spend on myself. Something kept pulling me back to that flyer, though, and I finally called and made a reservation.

You know, there are no accidents -- and we are where we are supposed to be at the right time. I attended both days. The subject matter was excellent: meditation, humor. I got a good Smoothie recipe and I purchased a book (both are wonderful).

I took a lot home with me and I have read and applied much of it already.

We need to make time and take time for ourselves. We forget that soooo easily. We are worth it. We can't give to others if we don't give to ourselves first. Thank you or all your hard work. It was really excellent -- from the center, to the food, to the lectures, etc. Kudos to all.

As a result of the weekend and some of my new awareness, by 8-year-old granddaughter and I have formed a club. It's a club with feminine spirituality and camaraderie as its base. My 83-year-old mom has joined us and soon others will follow. Much fun, bonding, self-esteem, and spiritual learning take place.
