Hazelden expects that participants will:

• use no alcohol or nonprescription drugs; notify the program facilitators of any prescription medications
  
• begin abstinence from tobacco at 8:30 a.m. the first full day of the program
  
• treat other participants and all Hazelden staff with respect and dignity
  
• remain on the Hazelden campus
  
• refrain from gambling
  
• protect the confidentiality and privacy of all Hazelden clientele
  
• attend all scheduled activities and arrive on time
  
• answer phone messages only during free time
