Drug & Alcohol Education
follows the Intake & Orientation Module, along with the Criminal and Addictive Thinking and Socialization Modules. Offenders will draw the connection between substance use disorder and criminal activity. This 168 page participant workbook, written at a sixth-grade level, contains materials that reflect real-life experiences of offenders with addiction and activities that demonstrate addictive and criminal thought processes. Thirty-five exercises cover: Addicts and Addiction, Your Body on Alcohol and Other Drugs, The Disease of Addiction and Its Effects, Now is the Time for Real Change, Change and Relapse Prevention, Beginning the Transition to Lifelong Change and Recovery.
