Learning to Love Unconditionally, the Twelve Step Way

Center City, MN

DARC 2019 Weekend Retreat Banner

"When the Twelfth Step is seen in its full implication, it is really talking about the kind of love that has no price tag on it." (Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions pg. 106). Bill Wilson's words inspire this new retreat, designed to help us learn to give love and expect nothing in return by exploring the problems of life, isolation and our powerlessness over chemicals. The ancient Greeks described several types of love (Eros and Philos), but it is Agape, unconditional love, which we will study in philosophical, theological and spiritual terms.
