The Better We Feel, The Sicker We Get: Spiritual Lapses in the Face of Half-Measures

Center City, MN

DARC 2019 Weekend Retreat Banner

The great gift and good news of recovery is our life gets remarkably better in a relatively short period of time. The dangerous thing about recovery is we feel better emotionally, physically and spiritually quite quickly once we've stopped using, which can bring us to a place of complacency, capturing the idea that the better we feel, the sicker we get.
Join Paul Anderson and Roger Bruner for a weekend examination of the things that continue to block us spiritually, which can best be characterized by the Big Book's reference to "old ideas" and our patterns of an over reliance on self, setting us apart from new ideas and a willingness to let go absolutely.
