This training will identify the impact of trauma on the brain and body, the different types of trauma and how to provide trauma-informed care to improve patient engagement and outcomes.

Brandi Schmeling Brandi Schmeling, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been with Hazelden Betty Ford since 2016. Schmeling has conducted research and worked clinically with addiction for the past eight years in residential, community mental health and VA facilities focusing on the relationship between trauma and addiction.

The Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies is approved to provide Continuing Education Credits.
