Objectives
This presentation is designed to help participants:
  • Describe the key attitudes and behaviors that increase efficacy in the work and the work environment
  • Define how key attitudes and behaviors can create the parallel process needed for a trauma-informed and trauma-responsive environment for staff and clients alike
  • Identify new skills to implement with co-workers, clients and management to improve clarity and mutual understanding
 

Tamarah L. Gehlen, LMFT LADC CCTP, is the senior director of outpatient services for Wayside Recovery Center, and is a national level speaker, author, and graduate-level instructor of addictions and mental health. Her topics are infused with humor and every-day, real-life experiences that illuminate the core concepts being presented.

 

This in person event is open as a benefit to all employees, Graduate School alumni and students of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. Participants must attend the entire event and complete tests and evaluations to receive credit. Certificates will be provided following completion of tests and evaluations.
