VioLit is the Violence Research Literature database. It contains bibliographic information and CSPV abstracts of violence-related research and literature. This literature primarily includes journal articles, books, reports and literature reviews on topics related to juvenile violence.
Dietary Supplements Labels Database
National Library of Medicine
The National Library of Medicine has released a new resource focused on dietary supplements. It includes information from the labels of over 2,000 brands of dietary supplements in the marketplace, including vitamins, minerals, herbs or other botanicals, amino acids, and other specialty supplements.
The database is designed to help both the general public and health care providers find information about ingredients in brand-name products, including name, form, active and inactive ingredients, amount of active ingredient/unit, manufacturer/distributor information, suggested dose, label claims, warnings, percentage of daily value, and further label information.
Links to other NLM resources, such as MedlinePlus and PubMed, are provided for additional health information. In addition, links to related Fact Sheets from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ( FDA), Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS), National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) are also available.

MEDLINE is the NLM's online database that contains almost 11 million references, 4000 journals articles in the health sciences. The Abstracts Database is produced by NCJRS, a service of the National Institute of Justice, with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Office for Victims of Crime, Bureau of Justice Statistics, and Bureau of Justice Assistance, all part of the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice, and the Office of National Drug Control Policy. The National Criminal Justice Reference Service Abstracts Database contains summaries of more than 190,000 publications on criminal justice, including Federal, state, and local government reports, books, research reports, journal articles, and unpublished research. Subject areas include corrections, courts, drugs and crime, law enforcement, juvenile justice, crime statistics, and victims of crime. The time period covered is from the early 1970's to the present. The database is also available on CD-ROM and as a file on the Dialog service.

This abstract database provides access to international literature in psychology and related behavioral and social sciences. A free is charged for non-APA members (e.g., $9.95 for any number of searches in a 24-hour period). Records are indexed using the controlled vocabulary from the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms. Records are derived from approximately 1300 journals and reports published throughout the world in over 25 languages from 1887 to the present. It is updated monthly and contains over 1,500,000 records.
