DESCRIPTION:

FLORIS is the database of the Flemish institution VAD. The book catalogue of our VAD library is now available on the Internet. The catalogue contains references of more than 5000 books on alcohol, illegal drugs and gambling. Most publications are in Dutch or in English. VAD is the umbrella organization for all important Flemish institutions and associations dealing with alcohol, drug, and gambling problems. Since 1982, VAD has been collecting resources (about 8000 documents (books, reports, conference proceedings, brochures, leaflets, educational materials, videos). Most are in Dutch (50%) and in English (40%).

The FLORIS database (Flemish On Line Resources Inventory on Substance Abuse) has a section: the "Digitale bibliotheek" http://www.vad.be/digitalebibresult.aspx, an electronic library with links to Internet-documents. Most documents are in Dutch, but there are also links to documents in English. The database contains about 400 records.
