Public Policy - Frequently Asked Questions

Does treatment really work?
Yes. And as with other chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, treatment can take a variety of approaches and variable lengths of time. Certainly, treatment - whether inpatient or outpatient - has a cost. But early detection and effective treatment can save lives, restore families, save taxpayers millions of dollars, and deliver American businesses huge and measurable dividends.

What is the Fight for Fairness Campaign?
The goal of the Fight for Fairness Campaign is to assure access to treatment services for those addicted to alcohol and other drugs by making sure that the disease of addiction is treated as seriously as all other fatal illnesses.
