  Hazelden's Springbrook Patients - What to bring and not bring
What to bring ...
  • 3 or 4 days of comfortable, casual clothes such as slacks, jeans, tops, sweaters
  • Exercise clothes: warm-up suit, sweats, shorts, tennis shoes
  • 2 pairs of comfortable shoes
  • Warm sweater and/or jacket
  • Raincoat
  • Hair care appliances and toiletries, no alcohol-based or aerosol products are allowed; no nail polish or polish remover
  • Telephone calling card for outgoing calls
  • Address book, stationary, stamps and a notebook
  • Spending money -- approximately $30 to $40 per week for miscellaneous items
  • Alarm clock, but not a clockradio
  • Any necessary medication in prescription bottles with only one or two pills. Please DO NOT refill your prescriptions before coming to the facility
  • A favorite pillow (optional)
  • Smoking is permitted in designated areas only. Cigars, pipes, and clove cigarettes are not allowed.
  • Washing machines, dryers, and ironing facilities are available.

What NOT to bring ...

  • Drugs or alcohol
  • hard-to-launder clothes
  • cameras
  • cell phones
  • televisions
  • radios
  • CD or DVD players
  • computers
  • personal reading material
  • weapons
  • drug paraphernalia
  • food or beverages
