Reclaiming Inter-Generational Identity Through Spiritual Paths and Wellbriety

Center City, MN

DARC 2019 Weekend Retreat Banner

Many people in recovery suffer from the effects of cross-generational trauma and adverse events—distrust of the outside world, difficulties within families and hopelessness about the future. For Native Americans, a combination of losses and traumatic events have infused an entire culture, passing the effects through each generation.

Wellbriety (sobriety/wellness), the healing balance and connection to natural laws, is critical for families, communities and cultures impacted by generations of trauma and adverse events. This healing takes place through an application of cultural and spiritual knowledge. First the individual must heal, then the family, then the community, and ultimately, the nation. Join us to learn how we can all apply cultural tools, language and sacred traditions in order to heal.
